Psychoeducational Assessment
A psychoeducational assessment provides a comprehensive understanding of how an individual thinks and learns. It examines cognitive abilities and academic achievement and can help identify learning disorders, ADHD, and other factors that may interfere with academic success.
A psychoeducational assessment starts at $3,000.

Common reasons for assessment:
- Persistent difficulties with reading, writing, or mathematics
- Academic performance that does not appear consistent with overall abilities
- Difficulties with attention, organization, or completing schoolwork
- Concerns regarding a possible learning disorder or ADHD
- Need for documentation to support academic accommodations
- Seeking recommendations to support learning and academic success
This assessment is for questions about how someone thinks and learns, including reading, writing, mathematics, or school performance that does not line up with their abilities. It can also consider ADHD when school is part of the concern.
It is separate from the ADHD Assessment, the Full Comprehensive Assessment, and the Autism (ASD) Assessment.

Should I book an assessment or psychotherapy?
Book this assessment when the question is how someone thinks and learns, and you want documentation for school. Psychotherapy does not answer that question. You can start psychotherapy without this assessment. We generally recommend starting with an assessment to get a clearer picture of what is going on.
